RTA Enhances Driver Qualification Through Innovative Tadreeb Digital Platform

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is advancing driver training through the 'Tadreeb' digital platform. This system connects all driving schools in Dubai, digitising the entire training and qualification process. It automates assessments and centralises trainee data, aiming to improve the quality of driver education.

The 'Tadreeb' platform, overseen by RTA's Licencing Agency, has significantly enhanced training quality. It improves transparency and accuracy in trainee evaluations and helps reduce accidents among new drivers. The platform also aids decision-making with smart dashboards that track training metrics, ensuring full automation of performance evaluations and transactions.

RTA Launches Tadreeb Digital Driver Training

Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of RTA’s Licencing Agency, stated, "The purpose of the platform is to identify the needs of trainees based on analysed data and figures, ensuring quality training for drivers and licensing a pool of skilled, professional drivers. It also contributes to achieving the highest safety standards, enhancing performance quality, and strengthening governance processes in line with global best practices."

The platform uses cutting-edge AI technologies to train drivers at over 27 locations. Supported by more than 3,400 instructors and over 3,000 vehicles, each vehicle's route is tracked electronically and linked to a central system. Annually serving around 250,000 trainees with over six million hours of training, it offers a seamless paperless experience.

The integration with relevant authorities has halved permit waiting times and reduced operating costs. Remote monitoring through the Smart Licencing Centre has improved compliance rates to 97% among trainers following prescribed stages. These advancements ensure efficient service delivery for training permits and contracts.

RTA collaborates with strategic partners to maintain safe and reliable training services. Adhering to safety standards is crucial for reinforcing performance and meeting all qualification requirements. Notably, 'Tadreeb' is globally recognised as the first unified platform by the International Commission for Driver Testing (CIECA) and received the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award this year.

Future Directions

The initiative outlines future plans focusing on sustainability for upcoming generations. By leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance customer experiences, personalising training through data analysis, and automating oversight processes, RTA aims to continually improve its services.

The 'Tadreeb' platform exemplifies how technology can transform driver education by improving safety standards while streamlining processes. Its recognition by international bodies underscores its effectiveness in setting new benchmarks for driver training worldwide.
