RTA Awards Naming Rights For Al Khail Metro Station To Al Fardan Exchange

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has entered into an agreement with Al Fardan Exchange, granting the latter naming rights for the Al Khail Metro Station. This station will now be called Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station. This partnership offers a significant branding opportunity for Al Fardan Exchange, allowing them to enhance their brand visibility through Dubai Metro's strategic locations.

Al Fardan Exchange will benefit from exclusive brand representation, supported by advanced technologies and smart solutions. These enhancements aim to create an interactive experience, fostering meaningful engagement between brands and consumers within the metro environment. This initiative is part of RTA's broader strategy to integrate public-private partnerships.

Al Fardan Exchange Secures Metro Station Naming Rights

Abdul Muhsen Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency at RTA, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration with a leading financial services provider. He described it as a pivotal step towards establishing a long-term economic partnership between RTA and Al Fardan Exchange. Kalbat highlighted that such initiatives are crucial for national economic growth and diversification.

Kalbat stated: "The metro station naming rights initiative is a cornerstone of public-private partnerships, with RTA representing the public sector and Al Fardan Exchange the private sector. Our visionary government strongly advocates such collaborations to drive national economic growth and promote diversification, which also paves the way for the private sector to align with the government’s vision in this regard."

The naming rights initiative has been successful since its inception, according to Kalbat. He emphasised RTA's commitment to fostering strong partnerships with the private sector, recognising its vital role in driving growth across various sectors. This model facilitates knowledge exchange, expertise sharing, and job creation in multiple industries.

Hasan Fardan Al Fardan, CEO at Al Fardan Exchange, shared his pride in partnering with RTA for securing naming rights for a key metro station in Dubai. He noted that this partnership reflects their values as a company rooted in Emirati heritage with a forward-looking vision. Public transportation is essential for any modern city, and Dubai's metro system exemplifies innovative urban mobility.

Strategic Branding Opportunities

"At Al Fardan Exchange, our mission has always been to empower individuals by providing seamless financial solutions," said Hasan Fardan Al Fardan. With millions relying on the metro daily, this partnership allows them to engage meaningfully with customers while enhancing passenger experiences and strengthening community ties.

The agreement enables Al Fardan Exchange to leverage Dubai Metro's strategic location for maximum brand exposure and consumer engagement. Effective media campaigns and immersive brand experiences will generate mutual value for both brands and passengers. The integration of cutting-edge smart solutions within Dubai Metro's network will benefit commuters significantly.

Upcoming Changes

From April to June 2025, RTA will update station names on external and indoor directional signage across all Metro Stations. The new name will also be reflected in digital smart systems and public transport apps along with onboard audio announcements before arriving at stations.

This collaboration marks another milestone in Dubai’s ongoing efforts to enhance urban mobility through strategic partnerships that benefit both businesses and commuters alike.
