Sharjah Executive Council Issues Decision To Regulate Media Activities For Sustainable Growth

The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) convened on Tuesday, led by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Council. A key decision was made regarding the regulation of media activities in Sharjah. The meeting took place at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office and was attended by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi.

During the session, the council examined government policies and financial outcomes for Sharjah. Discussions focused on enhancing these policies to align with the emirate's growth across various sectors. The council also reviewed performance reports from different governmental and independent entities for the latter half of 2024.

Additionally, the council assessed achievements in targeted deliverables for various sectors during 2024's second half. Support was affirmed for all entities in reaching their goals through planned strategies.

Social Services Department Report

The annual report from the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) was presented to the council. It highlighted statistics on beneficiaries of social security services and community outreach efforts. The report noted that 4,836 individuals received social assistance and supplementary grants totaling over AED119 million.

Efforts by various centres within SSSD were acknowledged for their contributions to social welfare in Sharjah. These initiatives play a crucial role in supporting community members through diverse services.

This meeting underscored SEC's commitment to fostering growth and development across multiple sectors in Sharjah while maintaining cultural values through regulated media activities.
