Raytheon Emirates Initiates Annual Internship To Foster Emirati Talent
Raytheon Emirates, an RTX business, has introduced its 2024 internship programme to nurture Emirati talent. This initiative aims to provide practical experience and on-the-job training for six Emirati students across various departments.
This year's internship includes students from Zayed University, Khalifa University, and the Higher Colleges of Technology. They will gain experience in Project Management, Digital Technology, Human Resources, Contracts, and Supply Chain.

The programme runs throughout the summer, offering students a chance to learn from seasoned professionals. They will also contribute to real-world projects in the defense and aerospace sectors.
Fahad Al Mheiri, Managing Director of Raytheon Emirates, stated, "At RTX, we believe in investing in the future of the UAE, and our internship program is a testament to that commitment. This year's program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in critical functions within our company, nurturing Emirati talent and providing them with the skills and experience needed to thrive in the aerospace and defense industry. We are confident this program will not only equip them with valuable skills but also inspire them to become future leaders in the UAE's rapidly growing industrial ecosystem."
Support for STEM Education
RTX’s Raytheon Emirates internship programme underscores its dedication to building a skilled local workforce. It aligns with the UAE's vision for a knowledge-based economy.
Additionally, RTX has supported Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) Undergraduate Research and Innovation Competition for two years. This effort encourages STEM education and empowers future innovators in the UAE. RTX plans to sponsor this competition again in 2025.
The internship programme not only equips students with essential skills but also inspires them towards leadership roles within the UAE's expanding industrial landscape.
