Ras Al Khaimah Emerges As One Of The Fastest-Growing Real Estate Markets In The UAE
Ras Al Khaimah is rapidly emerging as a key player in the UAE's property market, driven by the strategic vision of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi. The emirate is transforming its urban landscape while fostering a diverse economy. This strategy emphasises sustainable urban planning, enhancing residents' quality of life, and delivering top-tier projects.
Over the past three years, Ras Al Khaimah has seen notable growth in real estate sales and prices, thanks to significant developments in hospitality, commercial, and residential sectors. The population is expected to increase from 0.4 million to 0.65 million by 2030, necessitating around 45,000 new housing units.

Al Marjan Island stands at the forefront of this transformation under Eng. Abdulla Al Abdooli's leadership as CEO of Marjan. This coastal destination hosts luxury hotel brands like Wynn and JW Marriott. Marjan's expansion includes "RAK Central," a mixed-use economic hub with business, residential, and leisure facilities.
The entry of global developers such as Emaar and Aldar alongside local leaders like Marjan and RAK Properties supports this growth. The emirate's investor-friendly laws and diverse economy further bolster its appeal to international investors.
Al Hamra Real Estate Development, led by CEO Benoy Kurien, enhances integrated living through "Al Hamra Village," featuring over 4,000 homes and a golf course for over 10,000 residents. The company also develops Waldorf Astoria Residences and Falcon Island.
RAK Properties enriches the waterfront with its "Mina" project, including resorts like Anantara Mina Ras Al Khaimah. Future projects include Nikki Beach and Staybridge Suites. Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Zaabi stated that Ras Al Khaimah's vision is becoming reality by creating a vibrant environment attracting global investment.
Tourism Growth
The emirate welcomed 1.28 million tourists in 2024 to attractions like Jais Flight—the world's longest zipline—and Bear Grylls Explorers Camp. RAK Hospitality Holding integrates tourism through strategic hotel acquisitions under CEO Alison Grinnell's leadership.
The real estate sector's growth relies on robust infrastructure with eight hospitals including RAK Hospital and modern education regulated by the Department of Knowledge. Ras Al Khaimah ranks among the safest places globally, enhancing its appeal for living.
