RAKEZ Achieves 43% Surge In New Company Registrations During First Half Of 2025
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) saw a notable 43% rise in new company registrations during the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. From January to June this year, 8,506 companies joined RAKEZ, up from 5,933 in the first half of last year. This increase highlights the economic zone's ongoing growth.
RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad commented on this growth, stating, "This remarkable growth reflects the confidence investors place in RAKEZ and the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as a whole. Our continued commitment to creating a supportive and dynamic environment for businesses is clearly resonating with entrepreneurs and companies from around the globe."

Jallad further explained that by enhancing digital services, expanding value-added offerings, launching sector-specific hubs, and introducing value-driven packages, RAKEZ ensures both new and existing businesses have essential resources for success. He emphasised that with strategic foresight and operational excellence, RAKEZ is set to influence the UAE’s future economic landscape significantly.
The majority of new companies are involved in sectors such as management, information, and marketing consultancies; e-commerce; general trading; food and beverage; and building materials. These industries benefit from RAKEZ’s strong infrastructure, streamlined processes, competitive costs, and business-friendly environment.
India led the list of top investor nationalities at RAKEZ, making up 43% of new registrations. Following India were investors from Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Egypt, and the Philippines. This diverse investor base underscores RAKEZ’s appeal to global entrepreneurs.
With sustained momentum, RAKEZ now hosts over 35,000 active companies from more than 100 countries. This reinforces its status as a premier business and industrial hub in the region. The economic zone remains dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and driving economic growth.
RAKEZ's mission focuses on positioning Ras Al Khaimah as a global centre for innovation and investment. The zone continues to support its thriving business community while fostering an environment conducive to entrepreneurial success.
