Rakez Highlights Ras Al Khaimah’s Investment Opportunities At Turkish-Arab Economic Forum In Istanbul
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) recently showcased the emirate's investment opportunities at the 16th Turkish–Arab Economic Forum (TAF16) in Istanbul. As an official sponsor, RAKEZ highlighted Ras Al Khaimah's appeal as a prime location for international investors and a hub for cross-border business partnerships. The forum brought together business leaders, government officials, and investors from the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye to enhance trade and investment discussions between Turkish and Arab markets.
RAKEZ's participation aimed to boost its visibility among Turkish businesses by showcasing its business-friendly environment, advanced infrastructure, and connectivity to regional and global markets. This involvement aligns with a period of robust economic cooperation between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates. In 2024, bilateral trade between these nations reached USD 18.9 billion, marking a 40% increase from the previous year.

The RAKEZ delegation presented several competitive advantages of the emirate. These include streamlined regulatory processes, cost-effective company formation packages, and access to well-developed industrial zones. Discussions emphasized how Ras Al Khaimah's strategic location and ease of doing business make it an ideal launchpad for Turkish enterprises aiming to expand across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad delivered a keynote speech on the emirate’s evolving economic landscape and infrastructure growth. He highlighted Ras Al Khaimah's progress in diversifying its economy and supporting sustainable investments. "TAF16 provided a valuable platform to strengthen economic bridges between Türkiye and the Arab world," said Jallad. "Ras Al Khaimah continues to evolve as a destination of choice for investors, offering a business-friendly environment, advanced infrastructure, and strategic connectivity."
Currently, RAKEZ hosts over 470 Turkish-owned companies operating in sectors like consultancy, general trading, e-commerce, building materials, chemicals, and manufacturing. This growing community signifies an increasing interest among Turkish businesses to leverage Ras Al Khaimah’s infrastructure and investor support framework for accessing regional markets.
By engaging with Turkish investors at TAF16, RAKEZ aimed to build on existing momentum and attract new entrants from sectors aligned with Ras Al Khaimah’s diversified economy. The forum served as a platform for strengthening trade ties between Türkiye and Arab markets while promoting Ras Al Khaimah as an attractive investment destination.
The presence of RAKEZ at this forum underscores its commitment to fostering economic collaboration between Türkiye and the UAE. With its strategic initiatives and supportive business environment, Ras Al Khaimah is poised to continue attracting international investors seeking growth opportunities in the region.
