Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Successfully Concludes Strategic Roadshow In The UK
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) recently wrapped up a successful roadshow in the UK, aimed at enhancing connections with British businesses. This initiative showcased Ras Al Khaimah's potential as a strategic hub for global expansion. Led by RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad, the delegation engaged with companies across various sectors, including manufacturing and high-tech industries.
The roadshow featured numerous business-to-business meetings. These interactions highlighted Ras Al Khaimah's investor-friendly environment, which combines affordability with access to top-tier infrastructure and regional markets. The engagements underscored the growing interest among British companies in exploring opportunities within Ras Al Khaimah.

RAKEZ participated in key events such as the British Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Doing Business in the UAE’ at the University of Manchester. Additionally, they attended the ‘UK/UAE Stakeholder Reception’ in London. Here, government officials and business leaders discussed the evolving trade and investment relationship between the UK and UAE.
Currently, RAKEZ hosts over 3,200 British investors. The number of active UK investors has surged by more than 37% over the past two years. This growth reflects increasing recognition of Ras Al Khaimah as a viable option for international business expansion.
The robust economic ties between the UAE and UK support this success. From Q4 2023 to Q3 2024, the UAE was ranked as the UK's 19th largest trading partner. It also stood as the 15th largest export market and 20th largest import source for the UK during this period.
Economic Impact
In 2023 alone, UK foreign direct investment (FDI) stock in the UAE reached US$26 billion. Meanwhile, UAE investments in the UK amounted to US$4.5 billion. These figures highlight the strong economic interdependence between both nations.
"RAKEZ is built on the belief that global business success comes from creating the right environment—one that enables agility, scalability, and meaningful connections," said Jallad. "During this trip, we were able to demonstrate how Ras Al Khaimah offers more than just an alternative—it offers a competitive advantage backed by comprehensive support from RAKEZ."
This roadshow not only strengthened existing ties but also opened new avenues for collaboration between British businesses and Ras Al Khaimah. As interest continues to grow, RAKEZ remains committed to providing a supportive environment for international investors seeking expansion opportunities.
