Rakez Concludes Successful Strategic Engagements Across China To Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) recently completed a successful business mission across multiple cities in China. This initiative has further strengthened the trade and investment ties between the UAE and China. The delegation engaged in high-level B2B meetings, attended the 'UAE – China (Sichuan) Economic & Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference' in Beijing, and participated in the Invest UAE Roadshow in Guangzhou.
The events gathered senior officials, business leaders, and investors to discuss collaboration opportunities in sectors like energy, logistics, technology, healthcare, and green energy. RAKEZ used this platform to enhance dialogue with stakeholders and highlight Ras Al Khaimah's business advantages. This effort has bolstered economic connections with one of its key international markets.

Ramy Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, stated, "China is a market of great strategic importance to us. Our continuous engagement across several provinces is part of a broader mission to foster resilient, future-focused partnerships. As an enabler of the Belt and Road Initiative, RAKEZ stands as a trusted platform where Chinese enterprises can establish, innovate, and thrive on a global scale. We are here to support their journey every step of the way."
During the Invest UAE Roadshow in Guangzhou, Anas Hijjawi, CCO of RAKEZ, took part in a panel discussion about 'The UAE as a Manufacturing Hub for Chinese Companies Expanding Internationally'. He explained RAKEZ’s dual-track industrial strategy. Initially focusing on traditional manufacturing sectors like metal processing and chemicals, RAKEZ has built a strong industrial base.
This approach continues to attract interest from Chinese businesses through its collaborative model. Instead of using a standardised approach, RAKEZ co-develops infrastructure with partners to meet specific project goals. This strategy has led to long-term partnerships with over 200 Chinese companies in sectors such as LED lighting and engineering.
Key Partnerships
Prominent companies like China State Construction and Metally Industries have chosen RAKEZ for their regional operations. These firms benefit from streamlined licensing processes and scalable warehousing solutions designed to facilitate quick setup and sustained growth.
The UAE plays a crucial role as China's largest commercial partner in the Arab world. It acts as a significant re-export hub for around 60% of Chinese trade destined for over 400 cities across MENA. Collaborations with major Chinese industrial zones further highlight RAKEZ's commitment to fostering these relationships.
Future Growth Sectors
RAKEZ is also focused on emerging sectors such as electric mobility and agri-tech. Its industrial ecosystem is supported by sector-specific infrastructure and pro-investor policies aimed at aiding Chinese businesses seeking international expansion.
The economic zone's partnerships with entities like Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone demonstrate its deep engagement with China. Regular outreach activities in cities such as Shenzhen and Foshan strengthen these ties further.
RAKEZ remains dedicated to supporting growth in next-generation industries while maintaining robust relationships with existing partners. Its strategic initiatives continue to position it as an attractive destination for Chinese enterprises looking for long-term regional relevance.
