RAK Ruler H.H. Sheikh Saud Discusses Trade Relations With US-UAE Business Council Delegation

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, recently hosted Robert Raines, the US Consul-General for Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The meeting took place at the Movenpick Resort Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah. A delegation from the US-UAE Business Council, led by its President, Danny E. Sebright, also attended.

The discussions focused on enhancing trade and investment ties between Ras Al Khaimah and the United States. Both parties explored ways to strengthen cooperation across various economic sectors. They aimed to establish a foundation for ongoing progress and prosperity for both regions.

After the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Saud and the US representatives were briefed by local business leaders and government officials. The briefing highlighted Ras Al Khaimah's ambitious development goals and its thriving business environment. This session underscored further opportunities for investment in the Emirate.

Senior executives from prominent US companies such as Deloitte, General Motors, PwC, Boeing, and Oracle attended the briefing. High-level officials from the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi and its Consulate in Dubai were also present.

H.H. Sheikh Saud emphasised the importance of ongoing dialogue to deepen ties between Ras Al Khaimah and the United States. He stated, "Ongoing dialogue is integral to deepening the strong bond between Ras Al Khaimah and the United States, not only through enhanced trade but also by strengthening the human connections that drive our shared prosperity."

The Consul-General and members of the US-UAE Business Council expressed their gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Saud for his warm reception. They commended the robust economic relations between the UAE and the US, as well as Ras Al Khaimah's exceptional investment climate.
