RAK Ruler H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi Attends Candlelight Concert At National Museum
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, recently attended a Candlelight musical concert at the Ras Al Khaimah National Museum. The event was organised by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research in partnership with the Department of Antiquities and Museums in Ras Al Khaimah.
The concert featured a remarkable performance by soprano Ana Kovacevic, accompanied by Italian pianist Aldo Dotto. Together, they performed selected pieces from famous operatic and classical works. The combination of voice and melody created an enchanting atmosphere, enhanced by the glow of candlelight.
H.H. Sheikh Saud emphasised that arts and music act as a bridge to deepen human connections, enhance dialogue, and celebrate cultural diversity among nations. He believes these elements inspire future generations to pursue creativity and innovation. The emirate is committed to supporting artistic initiatives that reflect its ambitious vision for the future.
The Candlelight concerts are part of a global series managed by Fever, an entertainment company. This series aims to make classical music accessible to wider audiences through unique performances at prominent landmarks worldwide, all illuminated by thousands of candles.
The setting at the Ras Al Khaimah National Museum provided a stunning backdrop for the concert. It highlighted the depth of the emirate’s cultural identity and its commitment to supporting artistic initiatives that promote diversity and creativity within the community.
Attendees enjoyed an evening filled with refined artistic expression in one of Ras Al Khaimah's most significant historical and cultural landmarks. The event was attended by several ambassadors accredited to the UAE and senior officials.
H.H. Sheikh Saud noted that such events convey Ras Al Khaimah's message to the world and further establish the UAE's position as a global model of openness, coexistence, and diversity.
