RAK Energy Summit 2026 Third Edition To Explore Sustainable Energy Goals And Regional Collaborations
The Government of Ras Al Khaimah confirms that the third RAK Energy Summit will run from 25 to 27 November 2026 at RAK Expo Centre, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi. Ras Al Khaimah Municipality organises the event with Etihad Water and Electricity, focusing on regional sustainable energy, climate priorities and practical policy outcomes.
The summit carries the theme ‘Create and Contribute to the Sustainable Energy Goals of the Future’ and is designed as a regional meeting point for leaders, innovators and policymakers. Delegates will examine measures that align with the UAE’s climate ambitions and wider GCC strategies, with attention to energy transition, resilience and long-term economic competitiveness.

The 2026 RAK Energy Summit will feature a programme on emerging transition trends and steps towards net-zero targets. Sessions will assess renewable energy, energy storage and future power grids, alongside the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors. Discussions will also cover AI, digital tools, sustainable buildings and communities, and efficient, low-emission mobility systems.
{TABLE_1}Regional and international specialists from public and private organisations will lead presentations and panels on current initiatives supporting environmental and climate goals. Structured networking activities and live technology demonstrations will run in parallel. These elements aim to clarify how the UAE and GCC sustainable energy agendas are being implemented, and where new partnerships or investment opportunities may appear.
Taking place during a period of strong expansion in Ras Al Khaimah, the RAK Energy Summit will also highlight projects in the emirate that link growth with sustainability. Many initiatives fall under the Ras Al Khaimah Integrated Sustainability Strategy, implemented with support from Reem, the Sustainable Energy Sector within Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, which coordinates programmes across key sectors.
Munther Mohammed bin Shekar, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, said, "We are proud to announce the third edition of RAK Energy Summit, continuing the momentum of productive discussions and ambitious goals set in previous editions. As Ras Al Khaimah advances on its growth journey, sustainable energy has never been more vital, not only to address climate change but also to enhance social well-being and strengthen economic competitiveness. Through close collaboration with Etihad Water and Electricity and other partners, the summit will serve as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue among industry leaders, fostering partnerships that can drive the energy transition in Ras Al Khaimah, across the UAE and beyond."
Etihad Water and Electricity acts as both utility provider and implementation partner for Ras Al Khaimah’s development plans, linking infrastructure upgrades with climate targets. Across the emirate, Etihad Water and Electricity is progressing multi-year programmes to modernise water and electricity networks, increase system reliability and expand digital capabilities that support more efficient grid and resource management.
Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, CEO of Etihad Water and Electricity, said, "Our partnership with Ras Al Khaimah Municipality reflects EtihadWE’s role as both a utility provider and a delivery partner for the emirate’s sustainable growth. Across Ras Al Khaimah, we are advancing long-term programmes focused on modernising water and electricity networks, accelerating digital transformation, and strengthening the foundations for a more efficient and resilient energy system."
He added, "The RAK Energy Summit provides an important regional platform to share practical experience—from upgrading critical infrastructure and deploying smart technologies, to supporting electric mobility—and to exchange knowledge on translating sustainability strategies into tangible outcomes. This dialogue is essential to supporting national climate objectives and building resilient infrastructure for the future."
By setting a detailed agenda, aligning municipal and utility plans, and drawing expertise from across the region, the 2026 RAK Energy Summit is positioned to examine how Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE and the wider GCC apply sustainable energy strategies in real projects. The event will track progress, highlight lessons and outline potential next steps for policy and investment.
