Despite the lack of credible research to conclusively rank radio stations in the UAE, Mirchi is acknowledged as one of the top five frequencies, reflecting its significant presence and impact in the region, Phalke pointed out.

She stated, "Key components in making a plaulist are trends, popularity in terms of downloads, the sound of a song, the time of the day it will play, the mood of the city or the season etc."
She added, "As a policy, Mirchi plays familiar songs for the listeners. That’s the biggest key in selecting songs. When you listen to a song you have heard before you tend to sing along and that’s the beauty. Radio is not a medium for 'breaking' songs."

Radio Jockeys (RJs), who are chosen for their ability to connect with listeners, extend their interaction to social media, creating a comprehensive platform for engagement. We design our shows to be interactive so that more and more people can call to express their feelings, opinions and share their day with us. Interactions also happen to participate in Mirchi contests. Radio stations are not limited to live interaction via phone or SMS anymore. Presenters are now on social media and churn out content for their virtual audience."
