This partnership marks Rabdan Academy's official membership in the INTERPOL Global Academy Network. The network is dedicated to improving specialised training standards for law enforcement agencies worldwide through collaboration and knowledge exchange among leading institutions.

The agreement outlines plans for Rabdan Academy and INTERPOL to identify areas for joint training activities and projects. These initiatives will include courses, seminars, conferences, curricula development, study tours, and train-the-trainer programmes. This collaboration aims to elevate the quality of specialised academic and training programmes at Rabdan Academy.

Rabdan Academy and INTERPOL Join Forces for Training

James Anthony Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, stated: "This partnership with the INTERPOL aligns with our strategic goal to play a crucial role in developing specialised skills and capabilities in safety, security, defence, emergency preparedness, crisis management and related fields. This is achieved through collaboration with a prominent network of key international and local partners." The agreement aims to improve the efficiency of law enforcement personnel both regionally and globally.

Valdecy Urquiza, Secretary General of INTERPOL, highlighted the importance of working with esteemed academic institutions like Rabdan Academy. He emphasised that such collaborations help develop comprehensive global training methodologies and standards for law enforcement. These agreements benefit INTERPOL members by enhancing the capabilities of the INTERPOL Global Academy Network.

The agreement includes commitments from both parties to support each other in developing training materials and curricula. They will also exchange academic resources and share expertise and faculty members. This cooperation will create new training opportunities while fostering joint efforts in applied research on topics related to law enforcement.

Students at Rabdan Academy will gain access to courses and tools from the INTERPOL Virtual Academy. This access will enhance their skills in international policing. Additionally, Rabdan Academy’s training programmes will receive accreditation from INTERPOL.
