Rabdan Academy Secures Candidacy For Prestigious International Accreditation By SACSCOC

Rabdan Academy has been accepted as a candidate for accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), a prominent US accreditation body. This achievement follows an in-depth evaluation by a nine-member expert committee, which assessed the academy's adherence to SACSCOC's core standards during their visit to its Abu Dhabi campus.

The candidacy signifies Rabdan Academy's commitment to international standards. It highlights the quality of its academic programs, which have clear learning outcomes, and showcases its distinguished faculty. The academy also offers strong student support systems, including academic advising and career services, ensuring institutional effectiveness and dedication to governance, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.

Rabdan Academy Achieves SACSCOC Candidacy

James Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, stressed the importance of this milestone for enhancing the academy’s global reputation. He stated, "The accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) is crucial for Rabdan Academy, as it reflects its global credibility, enhances its reputation and competitiveness, and opens doors to strategic partnerships with international universities through student exchange programmes, research collaborations and dual academic programmes."

Morse noted that this accreditation will help attract more international students due to the academy's global academic excellence and employer trust both locally and internationally. He pointed out that many faculty members are graduates from top 200 universities worldwide. A key advantage of SACSCOC accreditation is that it allows students to transfer academic credits easily to other accredited institutions globally.

Rabdan Academy aims to be a leader in academic, research, and training excellence in safety, security, defence, emergency preparedness, and crisis management. The accreditation supports its dual-curriculum system—academic and vocational—where prior learning is recognised. Certificates and credit hours can be transferred across courses and careers.

This step marks a significant point in Rabdan Academy's journey towards achieving global accreditation with SACSCOC through ongoing review and evaluation processes.
