Presight, a player in AI and big data analytics on the global stage, hosted its inaugural AI-Startup Accelerator Bootcamp in Abu Dhabi. This event is a major step in bringing 10 innovative startups from various parts of the world together for a pivotal three-day programme aimed at enhancing real-world AI solutions.

The bootcamp signifies the commencement of Presight's intensive AI-Startup Accelerator programme's first cohort, set to continue until December. This process includes technical support, introductions to Presight's clientele to boost commercial prospects, and guidance from experts, all with the goal of demonstrating their development and accomplishments at GITEX Expand North Star 2025.

Presight Launches AI Startup Accelerator in Abu Dhabi

Starting on Monday, the bootcamp has been a melting pot of entrepreneurs, technological leaders worldwide, and partners from UAE institutions, participating in a rich program of mutual creation, cooperation, and strategy formulation. This event marks the first occasion where both government and private sector allies of Presight get a chance to evaluate the startups, determining the feasibility of their solutions in addressing challenges faced by their organizations.

During the initial day, Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight, delivered an influential keynote emphasising the importance of adopting a "startup mindset" across all institutions and laid out the vision of the program to forge, examine, and amplify impactful AI solutions aimed at addressing global challenges.

This was succeeded by a keynote from His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, the Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, and Peng Xiao, CEO of G42, who shared his insights and led a group of distinguished UAE dignitaries in discussions with each startup team to gain a deeper insight into their businesses, products, and solutions.

"The Presight AI-Startup Accelerator is a catalyst for transformative growth—empowering visionary founders and strengthening Presight's innovation pipeline. We launched this initiative to identify and scale the world's most promising AI innovations, integrate them into our ecosystem, and deliver lasting impact across industries. By equipping the 10 exceptional startups in our inaugural Cohort with world-class infrastructure and the critical levers to accelerate their commercial trajectory, we are amplifying their growth velocity," said Pramotedham.

"The UAE is a global epicentre of AI innovation — a nation where innovation is not just welcomed, but expected. Through this programme, our first batch of startups—coming from the United States, Singapore, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and, of course, the UAE — will unlock bold ideas, open new frontiers of economic potential, and contribute meaningfully to the UAE's vision for global AI excellence, alongside Presight as a committed partner in shaping that future. These startups embody the ambition and possibility that define the future."

On the event's first day, all 10 startups took the stage to present their ideas in grouped pitch sessions, categorised into three themes. The 'Urban Visionaries' track showcased companies tackling major urban challenges in climate, mobility, and infrastructure.

The 'AI Tool & Tech Makers' theme highlighted innovations essential for secure and scalable AI development infrastructure. Meanwhile, 'Market Shapers' included enterprises using AI to revolutionize industries like fintech, energy, education, and investment decision-making.

The event was attended by ambassadors of Singapore, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan to the UAE, leaders from G42, Core42, Space42, and Astra Tech, with participation from Inception and Analog. It also saw robust support from Presight partners and clients such as Microsoft, Hub71, MOIAT, ENEC, FAB, ADNOC Onshore, Borouge, the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, among others.

Following the pitches, the agenda featured interactive demonstrations and a panel discussion with partners including NVIDIA, MBZUAI, Shorooq, Astra Tech, and Presight. The second day involved site visits within Abu Dhabi's AI ecosystem, like ADNOC, AIQ, Astra Tech, and Space42, providing the founders with insights into AI's application at scale in various sectors.

The participating companies in the Presight AI-Startup Accelerator include Derq, Resync, AlphaGeo, ai, ai, Waverity, Vulcan, NodeShift, Maiden Century, and Cobi, representing a diverse mix of origins including the UAE, USA, Singapore, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan.
