President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Restructures Board Of Trustees Of Erth Zayed Philanthropies
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has enacted Federal Decree No. (116) of 2025, which reorganises the Board of Trustees for Erth Zayed Philanthropies. H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will lead the board as Chairman. He also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Martyrs’ Families Affairs and heads the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.
The newly appointed board members include Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who is the Minister of State, and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of The Founder’s Office. Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, who chairs the President's Office for Strategic Affairs and the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, is also on the board.

Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Empowerment, joins the board alongside Saeed Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Advisor to H.H. the Ruler of Fujairah and Chairman of the Fujairah Charity Association. Rashid Saeed Al Ameri serves as an Advisor at the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs.
Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri holds the position of Director at the Development Affairs Office within the Presidential Court and chairs the UAE Aid Agency. Saeed Rashid Al Zaabi advises the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Martyrs’ Families Affairs.
Erth Zayed Philanthropies was founded under Federal Decree No. (126) of 2024 with support from His Highness the President. It operates independently with full legal authority to pursue its mission under the oversight of the Presidential Court.
The foundation manages various entities to ensure they meet their goals and responsibilities. These include notable organisations such as the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity, Emirates Foundation, and Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund.
Entities Under Erth Zayed Philanthropies
Additional entities under its management are Sandooq Al Watan, Clean Rivers Foundation, Global Institute for Disease Elimination, Zayed Sustainability Prize, Khalifa Award for Education, Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher, and Ekthar.
This restructuring aims to enhance governance within Erth Zayed Philanthropies by bringing together experienced leaders from various sectors to guide its philanthropic efforts effectively.
