Pharmatrade And KEZAD Unveil New Logistics Hub To Strengthen UAE's Healthcare Sector

In a significant development for the healthcare sector in the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group, in collaboration with the UAE-based Pharmatrade, has inaugurated the new Abu Dhabi Logistics Centre. This strategic move is set to enhance the storage and distribution capabilities of Pharmatrade's extensive range of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device products across the UAE.

The decision to expand into Abu Dhabi through KEZAD follows Pharmatrade's successful operation of its Logistics Centre in Dubai Investment Park 1 for over 13 years. The new facility is located within KEZAD Logistics Park Phase 5, a hub featuring temperature-controlled, Grade A industrial warehouses designed to meet diverse client needs and improve logistics efficiency.

Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed from KEZAD Group highlighted the significance of Pharmatrade's expansion, noting its reputation as a trusted supplier of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. He emphasized the benefits of KEZAD's advanced infrastructure in facilitating efficient access to key transportation hubs like Khalifa Port and Abu Dhabi International Airport, which are crucial for sourcing international materials cost-effectively.

Konstantinos Petridis, Managing Partner at Pharmatrade LLC, expressed the company's commitment to covering the pharmaceutical and medical device supply needs of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain comprehensively. He stressed the importance of rapid delivery, sufficient stock levels, and competitive credit policies in serving both government and private sectors effectively.

The establishment of the logistics centre in KEZAD was driven by its strategic location and integrated transportation network, which align with Pharmatrade's goals for expansion and customer reach. Continuous investments by the company aim to ensure uninterrupted availability of both life-saving and non-life-saving drugs in the UAE.

Pharmatrade, a partnership between Hussain Al Nowais and Konstantinos Petridis since 1977, stands as a leading distribution entity in the UAE's healthcare industry.
