Atlantis Resorts Appoints Paul Baker President In Dubai And China
Atlantis Resorts has announced the appointment of Paul Baker as President. He will manage Atlantis, The Palm, a top entertainment destination in the region, and Atlantis The Royal, known as the world's most luxurious resort. There is also potential for him to oversee Atlantis Sanya in China.
Baker's role involves leading all operational, strategic, and administrative functions at Atlantis, The Palm. He will report to Philippe Zuber, CEO of Kerzner International. His responsibilities include overseeing administrative tasks, commercial activities, retail operations, food and beverage services, events, hospitality and catering services, marine activities, water park operations, and all entertainment services at the destination.

Extensive Experience
With nearly two decades of international experience, Baker brings a wealth of expertise to Atlantis Resorts. His career includes significant roles in some of the world's leading hospitality and entertainment markets such as Las Vegas in the United States, Malaysia, Macau, and China. Most recently, he served as President of Grand Lisboa Palace in Macau where he successfully led the opening of an integrated resort with 1,892 rooms.
Before his tenure at Grand Lisboa Palace, Baker was Executive Vice President – Operations at Genting Malaysia Berhad. This role saw him managing a vast luxury resort featuring 10,000 rooms, 200 food and beverage outlets, a theme park, retail spaces, and a golf course.

Baker's arrival coincides with a pivotal time for Atlantis Resorts. Just one year after its opening, Atlantis The Royal continues to thrive. Meanwhile, Atlantis The Palm recorded its highest half-year revenue ever in the first half of 2024.
Baker graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy. He also served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. Additionally, he holds an MBA from Harvard University in Boston.
