The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) heralded a significant milestone today with the listing of Parkin Company P.J.S.C. (Parkin), Dubai's sole public parking operator boasting an impressive three-decade track record. This event marks the inaugural public offering of 2024 on the DFM, underscoring the Emirate's ongoing strategy to list government, state-related, and private sector entities—a key initiative announced at the end of 2021. The offering saw an aggregate demand of AED 259 billion (approximately USD 71 billion), translating to an over-subscription rate of 165 times. Trading under the ticker "PARKIN", the company concluded its public offering on the stock exchange with a market capitalization of AED 6.30 billion upon admission, setting the share price at AED 2.10 at the upper end of its price range. The offering's record-breaking demand underscored by a 165 times oversubscription rate is a testament to Parkin's compelling equity story and its central role in supporting Dubai's economic and population expansion plans.
