Over 6000 Taxis Integrated Into Bolt Platform To Enhance Dubai's Transportation Services

Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has partnered with Bolt, a global shared mobility platform, to expand smart transportation services in Dubai. Over 6,000 DTC taxis, including People of Determination Taxis and Ladies and Family Taxis, are now accessible via the Bolt app. This initiative aims to enhance convenience for both residents and visitors by offering digital efficiency in commuting.

Bolt is celebrating this expansion with a special offer: 30% cash back on the first three taxi rides without any surge pricing. This move provides another seamless option for booking taxis through the Bolt app, ensuring a reliable start to journeys. The app features transparent pricing and advanced safety measures like emergency buttons and live tracking.

Bolt Expands with Over 6000 Taxis in Dubai

The integration of DTC vehicles into Bolt's platform is part of a broader strategy to transition 80% of taxi trips to e-booking. This aligns with Dubai's government directive aimed at enhancing digital transportation services. By leveraging Bolt’s technology, DTC seeks to capture a larger share of Dubai’s AED 6 billion taxi market.

Ammar Al Braiki, Chief Operations Officer at DTC, stated that integrating over 6,000 vehicles onto the Bolt app is a significant step toward creating the UAE’s largest e-hailing platform. He emphasized their commitment to innovation and convenience for users across the emirate. "The integration of over 6,000 DTC’s vehicles onto the Bolt app represents a major step toward realising our vision of creating the UAE’s largest e-hailing platform," he said.

This initiative is part of DTC's strategy for 2025–2029, aiming to solidify its leadership in the transportation sector. The company plans to reinforce its position as the largest taxi operator in the emirates while expanding its reach regionally. The collaboration with Bolt supports Dubai's vision of becoming a smart city focused on sustainability.

Future Prospects for Digital Transportation

Looking forward, there are plans for Bolt to extend its services beyond Dubai into other emirates and sectors. This aligns with their mission to support Dubai’s vision of a smart city by fostering innovation and environmental responsibility. "Looking ahead, we envision Bolt’s reach expanding beyond Dubai into other emirates and verticals," Al Braiki added.

The partnership between DTC and Bolt underscores their shared goal of providing user-friendly mobility solutions that make travel easier for everyone. With advanced features like accurate route mapping and driver score systems promoting high service quality, this collaboration marks a significant milestone in digital transportation services.
