Orange Business, Partners Launch Live Intelligence AI Platform For GCC Governments At GITEX
Orange Business has taken a significant step forward in the realm of artificial intelligence by unveiling Live Intelligence during GITEX 2025. This fully sovereign, end-to-end Generative AI platform is specifically tailored for use by governments and organisations within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This initiative marks a notable advancement in making high-performance AI accessible, secure, and efficient across the region.
Live Intelligence stands out due to its collaborative foundation, featuring contributions from leading companies in the AI and technology sectors. LightOn, renowned for its leadership in sovereign generative AI within Europe, provides the platform with its cutting-edge AI technology. This ensures users have access to powerful AI capabilities while retaining complete data control.

Additionally, the Edarat Group, a key player in the region for cloud services, supplies the necessary sovereign cloud infrastructure. This local cloud, hosted in KSA, enables the secure operation of AI applications within the GCC's geographical limits. Furthermore, the platform's high-performance computing backbone is powered by NVIDIA, a giant in accelerated computing.
The deployment and ongoing support of Live Intelligence are managed by Orange Business. This includes integration into existing systems and continuous assistance, ensuring that regional governments and enterprises can adopt this technology smoothly and securely. This collaborative effort aims to establish a reliable AI ecosystem that meets the specific strategic, regulatory, and operational requirements of the GCC.
Since its inception in France in September 2024, Live Intelligence has seen rapid expansion across Europe, reaching over 90,000 Orange employees. Initially developed to enhance internal operations and efficiency, the platform's user-friendly interface has facilitated swift adoption and led to significant productivity improvements among its users.
Igor Carron, co-founder and CEO of LightOn, commented on the initiative's broader significance, stating, "The GCC is emerging as the next global hub for sovereign AI, where technology leadership meets a deep understanding of sovereignty and security. With Orange Business, Edarat, and NVIDIA, we are uniting world-class expertise with regional capability to make this vision real. Together, we bring the only combination of experience, trust, and infrastructure capable of delivering true generative AI sovereignty at scale in the Gulf."
This sentiment was echoed by Jihad Nehme, chief business development officer at Edarat Group, who underscored the strategic importance of this collaboration. "A future in which intelligence, infrastructure, and innovation unite to drive national resilience and regional leadership. By combining global innovation with sovereign cloud and GPU infrastructure, we are empowering public and private sector organizations to accelerate digital transformation securely, responsibly, and in full alignment with data sovereignty mandates," Nehme said.
Marc Domenech, regional director, Enterprise META Region at NVIDIA, highlighted the transformative potential of AI. "Nations embracing AI are unlocking new opportunities for their societies and industries," he remarked, expressing enthusiasm about enhancing the region's GenAI ecosystem through this partnership.
Sahem Azzam, president IMEA & Inner Asia at Orange Business, also shared insights into the initiative's aims. "Orange Business is shaping the future of AI in the GCC by leveraging the region's vibrant ecosystem and leading with Live Intelligence, a fully sovereign GenAI platform. Powered by trusted partners like LightOn, Edarat Group, and NVIDIA, we are enabling governments and organizations to innovate securely, confidently, and drive regional growth," Azzam commented.
