Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 Marks 500 Days Of Humanitarian Support For Palestinian People

The UAE's "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3" has marked 500 days of continuous humanitarian support for Palestinians in Gaza. This initiative, launched by the United Arab Emirates, aims to provide urgent aid to those affected in the region. Over this period, more than 65,000 tonnes of food, medical, and relief supplies have been delivered through various channels.

To ensure rapid assistance, aid valued at over $1.2 billion was transported via air, land, and sea. The operation included establishing two field hospitals: one within Gaza treating 51,853 cases and another as a floating hospital near Al Arish city in Egypt, which attended to 10,370 cases.

The UAE also bolstered healthcare with 17 ambulances and delivered 1,200 tonnes of medical equipment to local hospitals. To address water needs, six desalination plants were set up to produce two million gallons of clean water daily for Gaza residents. Additionally, 12 water tankers were deployed to supply medical facilities and camps.

Food security was enhanced by setting up 21 field bakeries producing daily bread and 50 charitable kitchens serving hot meals to families. An air bridge facilitated aid delivery with 594 missions carrying thousands of tonnes of supplies. The "Birds of Goodness" initiative further supported isolated areas with 3,700 tonnes of aid through 53 airdrops.

By land, the operation saw 3,495 trucks entering Gaza with essential items like food and shelter tents. Meanwhile, maritime routes brought in supplies through 14 ships—seven docking at Al Arish Port and seven from Cyprus—ensuring a consistent flow of aid.

This comprehensive delivery system underscores the UAE's unwavering commitment to supporting Palestinians. The nation continues its efforts to provide all necessary humanitarian assistance through these diverse channels.
