Registrations Open For Dubai's One Million Prompters Initiative In AI Prompt Engineering

The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has launched registrations for the "One Million Prompters" initiative. This program aims to train one million people in AI prompt engineering, a field gaining importance. It is the first and largest of its kind, focusing on equipping participants with skills to master AI prompt technology.

Initiated in May 2024 under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this effort is central to Dubai's strategy to lead in AI innovation. Over three years, it will provide essential AI and prompt literacy skills to a million individuals, enhancing their professional and creative abilities through generative AI.

Dubai Opens Registrations for AI Training Initiative

This initiative aligns with the "Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI", a framework aimed at developing specialised talent and advancing AI technology adoption across key sectors. By promoting expertise in AI prompt engineering, it strengthens Dubai's role as a leader in technological innovation.

Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, stated, "This initiative opens new avenues for individuals from diverse disciplines to drive AI adoption across technical, creative, and knowledge-driven sectors. By mastering AI prompt engineering, participants gain the tools to unlock groundbreaking applications and drive innovation from Dubai to the world."

The One Million Prompters initiative offers a detailed curriculum divided into four modules. The first module introduces foundational knowledge on AI and generative AI. The second module focuses on advanced techniques for improving human-AI interactions through chatbots.

The third module explores using AI to optimise workflows and boost productivity in professional settings. The final module examines how generative AI can be applied creatively in fields like art, music, and video production. Participants will receive accredited certificates upon completing these modules.

Global Prompt Engineering Championship

This initiative builds on the success of the 'Global Prompt Engineering Championship', held in Dubai in May 2024. The event attracted thousands of applicants from nearly 100 countries, with 30 finalists competing in categories such as Coding, Art, and Literature.

Winners included Ajay Cyril from India in Coding, Megan Fowkes from Austria in Art, and Aditya Nair from India in Literature. The second edition will occur during "Dubai AI Week" in April 2025.

Registrations are now open globally for this initiative. For more details on registration procedures, visit https://dub.ai/en/omp/. This effort underscores Dubai's commitment to becoming future-ready by fostering a new generation of AI specialists.
