Omran Invites Global Bids For Groundbreaking 5-Star Hotel Project in Muscat
Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) is seeking expressions of interest from top engineering and construction firms. The aim is to develop a luxury 5-star hotel and related facilities within a large mixed-use project in Muscat.
Omran, established by government mandate in 2005, focuses on boosting Oman's tourism sector. The company is the master developer of major tourism, heritage, and urban projects, delivering some of the nation's most iconic developments. Omran's mission includes creating new destinations and unique experiences that contribute to Oman's social and economic growth.
Four Seasons Development
The project involves developing a mixed-use site in Muscat's Al Bustan area. It will feature a 200-key luxury 5-star hotel, 91 branded luxury apartments, food and beverage outlets, and high-end retail stores. Additionally, the project includes renovating Marina Bander A'Rawdha, the oldest and largest marina in Oman, along with ancillary utility buildings. The total built area will be approximately 180,000 square metres.
The Four Seasons Group will operate the hotel and branded residences. The development is expected to take around four to five years, including enabling work packages and two construction phases. The target for opening the hotel to its first guests is early Q4 2027.
Omran also plans several future projects involving mixed-use developments, new single-asset projects, and refurbishing existing assets. These initiatives aim to further expand Oman's tourism infrastructure.
The deadline for submitting bids for this project is set for July 18.
