Additionally, a concerted effort to enhance the skill set of the Omani workforce in the retail sector is underway, evidenced by the establishment of 300 direct job opportunities that come with comprehensive training.
This initiative was formalized through an agreement with an academy specializing in retail, aiming to equip candidates with the necessary expertise to thrive in this dynamic industry. The announcement of these job opportunities coincided with the ceremonial signing of cooperation programs between the Ministry and numerous entities within the wholesale, retail, and industrial sectors of Oman.
Among the significant undertakings is the launch of the "Itqan" programme, a strategic initiative designed to foster employment and amplify the contribution of Omani youth within the retail and industrial spheres. This programme underlines the Ministry's commitment to nurturing a skilled workforce that can meet the evolving demands of Oman's economy.
Further enriching the "Itqan" programme, the Ministry has solidified partnerships with various factories, industrial facilities, and higher education institutions. These collaborations are intended to provide Omani youth with the technical knowledge and skills indispensable for their future careers.
By aligning with educational and industrial partners, the Ministry aims to create a talent pool well-versed in the latest technological advancements and operational methodologies, thereby reinforcing the Sultanate's economic and industrial sectors.
