Egypt's Sports Minister Unveils Details Of Ninth Zayed Charity Marathon On December 27
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Egypt's Minister of Youth and Sports, revealed the details of the ninth Zayed Charity Marathon. Scheduled for 27th December in the New Administrative Capital, it is organised with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and TriFactory. The event's proceeds will benefit Hospital 57357.
The marathon is more than a sporting event; it conveys a noble message of humanitarian solidarity and charitable work. It also aims to strengthen brotherly ties between nations. This was highlighted during a press conference attended by Lieutenant General Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Zayed Charity Marathon.

The marathon reflects the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in promoting healthier communities. Dr. Sobhi emphasised that this significant sporting and humanitarian event highlights the deep historical relations between Egypt and the UAE. This is under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi expressed gratitude to all partners and charitable organisations supporting the marathon. These include the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Emirates Red Crescent, Fazaa, and Al Habtoor Group.
Dr. Sobhi announced an increase in this year's prizes to 20 million Egyptian pounds along with 400 Umrah trips. This enhancement aims to encourage participation and support for the cause.
The marathon embodies values of unity and charity, reflecting Sheikh Zayed's vision for community well-being. It serves as a testament to the enduring friendship between Egypt and the UAE, fostering goodwill through shared initiatives.
