Nine Leading Companies Collaborate With MoHRE To Enhance UAE Labour Market Competitiveness

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has revealed that nine prominent companies are backing its initiatives. These efforts aim to boost the UAE labour market's competitiveness, improve worker wellbeing, and foster community belonging. The announcement was made at a recent ceremony held at MoHRE’s Dubai headquarters, where sponsorship contracts were signed by Mohammed Saqr Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, alongside company representatives.

Among the sponsors, Damac Properties and Aldar Properties have committed as Diamond sponsors. Insurance Pool and Sobha Realty are supporting as Platinum sponsors. Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du), Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), Electronic Documents Centre (EDC), and National Marine Dredging Company (NDMC) have joined as Gold sponsors. Al Rostamani Group is participating as a Silver sponsor. These sponsorships encompass key initiatives like the Emirates Labour Market Award and various events dedicated to workers on national and international occasions, along with MoHRE’s internal events.

MoHRE Initiatives Supported by Nine Companies

During the event, Al Nuaimi commended the sponsors for their contributions. He highlighted that their dedication to social responsibility reflects a strong partnership with the Ministry, positively impacting the UAE’s labour market. Sponsors were chosen based on their competitive profiles, adherence to excellence standards, alignment with award criteria, and robust governance of social responsibility standards.

Al Nuaimi also reiterated MoHRE’s openness to collaborating with more private sector companies interested in supporting its initiatives. He emphasised the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening ties with the private sector, enabling companies to play an active role in enhancing labour market leadership and competitiveness.

Hussain Sajwani, Founder of Damac Properties, expressed satisfaction with continuing cooperation with MoHRE. "At Damac, we are pleased to continue our cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and its qualitative initiatives," he stated. He noted that these efforts align with their commitment to contributing actively to national development by creating an attractive work environment.

Enhancing UAE's Global Position

Bayan Al Hosani, Chief People and Communications Officer at Aldar Group, shared similar sentiments. "We are honoured to support the efforts of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation," she said. She stressed that their joint efforts help achieve leadership aspirations by making the UAE a preferred destination for international talent.

Aldar prioritises Emiratisation by fostering a supportive work environment that invests in Emirati talent. They aim to hone skills while providing growth opportunities and global expertise. Through supporting MoHRE's efforts, they look forward to enriching the work environment in the country further.

Sobha Realty's Managing Director Francis Alfred expressed happiness about cooperating with MoHRE for three consecutive years. "The company is happy to cooperate with the Ministry and sponsor its initiatives for the third consecutive year," he said. These initiatives enhance communication with government entities while reinforcing their commitment to corporate social responsibility.

The collaboration between MoHRE and these companies underscores a shared vision of enhancing competitiveness within the UAE labour market. By fostering partnerships across sectors, they aim to create an environment conducive to attracting skilled professionals globally.
