Transforming Riyadh: New Murabba Achieves 86% Excavation Milestone For Mukaab Landmark

New Murabba Development Company, affiliated with the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has marked a significant milestone in its ambitious project to construct an urban landmark. The project's focal point, the Mukaab, along with its adjacent podium areas, has seen an impressive 86% of excavation work completed, translating to more than 10 million cubic meters of earth being moved. This advancement not only demonstrates a swift pace in the project's execution but also a firm resolve to realize the vision of the largest modern downtown in the world.

The commitment to maintaining high safety standards during this extensive construction phase is evident in the over 3 million hours of safe labor recorded thus far. As part of its infrastructure development, New Murabba plans to erect a temporary bridge crossing King Khalid Road. This structure is pivotal for linking the construction site, facilitating the seamless continuation of development activities, and setting the stage for the upcoming piling work of the Mukaab. The bridge is projected to substantially decrease traffic disruptions by cutting around 800,000 truck movements on public roads required for earth removal, thereby mitigating the impact on Riyadh's existing infrastructure. With approximately 900 workers actively engaged on the site each day, the pace of work is on a fast track, edging the project closer to realization.
