Neighbours Of The Prophet Endowment Secures Initial Donation Of AED 3 Million For Orphan Support
A significant donation of AED 3 million has been made to the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation. This marks the first contribution to the "Neighbours of the Prophet Endowment" project. The initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. This generous act highlights the community's strong commitment to charitable causes.
The endowment aims to improve the lives of orphans by supporting their academic, psychological, social, health, and economic development. It is designed as a sustainable platform that ensures a dignified life and hopeful future for these children. The initiative reflects His Highness’s vision for community-driven support, inspired by the Qur’anic verse: "And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations."

Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, expressed her gratitude for this generous donation. She described it as a testament to community solidarity and enduring values of endowment. Al Suwaidi emphasised that this programme represents a promising start to what they hope will be a series of contributions from both individuals and institutions.
Al Suwaidi stated, "Every dirham invested in this endowment has a long-term impact—not just in terms of direct assistance but also in building futures and providing orphans with a life worthy of their human dignity." Her words underscore the far-reaching benefits of such contributions.
The benefits of this endowment extend beyond immediate assistance to orphans. It also offers ongoing rewards for those who contribute and maintain it. This initiative serves as an enduring source of goodness and exemplifies meaningful giving that continues to benefit both in life and after death.
This project not only supports orphans but also strengthens community bonds through shared charitable efforts. The initial donation sets a precedent for others to follow, fostering an environment where collective contributions can lead to significant positive change.
The "Neighbours of the Prophet Endowment" project is poised to grow with continued support from various sectors. As more individuals and organisations contribute, the foundation hopes to expand its reach and impact further.
