The sixth edition of the National Fuel Station Safety and Security Campaign has wrapped up successfully. Organised by the Joint Committee for Security and Safety, it was led by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. Key partners included the General Directorate of Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior, ADNOC Distribution, Emarat, and ENOC. The campaign began on 17th July 2025, aligning with Fuel Station Safety Day.
Under the slogan "Safety is a Commitment, Not a Choice," the campaign highlighted the importance of following safety measures at fuel stations. Over six weeks, it engaged various community segments, significantly raising public awareness about safety practices. The initiative's success is evident in its over 98 percent public awareness rate, achieved through field and digital surveys.

Eng. Sharif Al Olama from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure praised the campaign's role in fostering a culture of prevention at fuel stations. He stated that "Over the past six consecutive years, the campaign has proven to be an effective platform for driving positive behavioural change within society and enhancing individual compliance with safety instructions and guidelines."
The campaign's diverse programmes included direct field activities and innovative media campaigns on digital platforms. These efforts ensured wide-reaching public engagement, reinforcing safety guidelines among citizens and residents alike. This comprehensive approach helped embed sound practices across fuel stations.
Major General Dr Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi from Civil Defence emphasised the collaboration between key organisations like ADNOC, Emarat, ENOC, and government bodies. He noted that Civil Defence prioritises fuel station safety through annual plans and training exercises to protect lives and property.
He urged community members to follow safety instructions as these simple actions can mitigate risks. This aligns with the UAE's vision to be a global leader in safety and security standards.
Commitment from Industry Leaders
Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi of Emarat expressed pride in supporting this annual initiative. He remarked, "Safety is not just a priority for us—it is a core value that we uphold in every aspect of our operations." This reflects their dedication to ensuring safe experiences at all fuel stations.
Hussain Sultan Lootah from ENOC reiterated their commitment to promoting safety across operations. He said, "As a long-standing partner in the National Fuel Station Safety and Security Campaign, we at ENOC reaffirm our full commitment to promoting a culture of safety and responsibility across all our operations."

Eng. Bader Saeed Al Lamki from ADNOC Distribution highlighted their integral role in transportation operations across the country. He stated that "ADNOC Distribution is a key partner in the country's various transportation and mobility operations." For them, safety is ingrained as an everyday work culture rather than just a seasonal focus.
