National Festival Of Tolerance & Coexistence Highlights UAE’s Commitment To Unity Among Nations

The National Festival of Tolerance & Coexistence, which began today, underscores the UAE's commitment to humanitarian values and its role as a global leader in fostering cultural diversity. Ambassadors from various nations highlighted the UAE's efforts in promoting dialogue and peaceful coexistence, showcasing it as a hub for cultural exchange.

Zhang Yiming, China's Ambassador, expressed gratitude for being honoured at the festival. He noted that the event exemplifies the strong ties between China and the UAE, reflecting their strategic partnership. This collaboration serves as a model for enhancing understanding among different cultures.

The festival highlights the UAE's dedication to mutual respect and cultural diversity. Zhang Yiming praised the UAE for creating an inclusive society where over 300,000 Chinese residents live peacefully. The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence was commended for its efforts in promoting these values.

Abeer AlRamahi, Palestine's Ambassador to the UAE, appreciated participating in the festival's seventh edition themed "Hand in Hand." She emphasised that Sheikh Zayed instilled values of tolerance and respect for human dignity, shaping a nation where over 200 nationalities coexist harmoniously.

AlRamahi thanked President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for supporting humanitarian initiatives. She also expressed gratitude to Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for his patronage of the festival, acknowledging Palestine’s appreciation for the UAE’s global efforts in promoting tolerance.

India's Ambassador Highlights Community Harmony

Dr. Deepak Mittal, India's new Ambassador to the UAE, described the country as a model of tolerance and coexistence. He noted that the festival reflects shared values between India and the UAE, highlighting how it provides a supportive environment for its large Indian community.

Mittal praised UAE leadership for empowering diverse communities. He commended students, educators, and Indian community members who participated in cultural performances showcasing unity and diversity. He expressed joy at joining this national event and wished continued progress for the UAE.

The festival not only celebrates cultural diversity but also strengthens international relations through shared values of tolerance and coexistence. This event is a testament to how different cultures can live together harmoniously under one roof.
