Museum Of The Future Achieves Milestone With Over 3 Million Visitors From 177 Countries In Under Three Years

The Museum of the Future has attracted over 3 million visitors from 177 countries since its opening on 22 February 2022. Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Museum, noted this achievement reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The museum stands as a symbol of hope and innovation, aiming to shape and enhance global living standards.

Al Gergawi emphasised that the museum is pivotal in promoting positive change and sustainable futures. "The Museum of the Future plays a leading role in driving global efforts to foster positive change and build a sustainable, human-centered future," he stated. It unites visions for future opportunities, preparing for upcoming challenges.

Museum of the Future Welcomes 3 Million Visitors

The museum has become a central venue for conferences and events, attracting futurists and foresight institutions worldwide. It fosters partnerships that open new avenues for collaboration. As a global centre for innovation, it continues to influence future landscapes by hosting numerous events and discussions.

Since its inception, the museum has hosted around 380 events related to future governments, technology, space, economy, and business. These gatherings attract top experts and decision-makers who aim to forecast and design various sectors globally. Additionally, 470 media delegations have covered these innovative experiences.

The Museum of the Future serves as a platform for Arab scientists and thought leaders to showcase their ideas. It stimulates scientific movements in the region by recognising achievements and equipping future generations with necessary tools. This initiative honours bright minds across the Arab world.

The museum also collaborates with international partners through the Global Futures Society. This initiative unites 40 leading foresight institutions to tackle current and future challenges with innovative solutions. The society was established by Dubai Future Foundation at the museum.

Engaging Global Leaders

The museum has become a key destination for official delegations visiting Dubai and the UAE. It regularly welcomes heads of state, government leaders, senior officials, and other global figures who engage in discussions about future prospects.

One notable event was the ‘AI Retreat’ held last June under H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's patronage. Over 1,000 decision-makers discussed AI applications' adoption across public and private sectors during this retreat.

Empowering Future Generations

The ‘Future Heroes’ summer camp is another initiative by the museum aimed at children’s engagement in future foresight activities. In collaboration with Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, Emirati Astronauts Mohammed Al Mulla and Nora Al Matrooshi participated in workshops fostering interest in space exploration among young attendees.

Additionally, workshops on ‘Jobs of the Future’ provided insights into sustainability roles like consultants guiding institutions towards eco-friendly practices or specialists focusing on modern agricultural trends such as vertical farming enhancing food security globally.

Cultural Engagements

During Ramadan, sessions under ‘Ramadan Majlis’ explored technological advancements inspired by ethical principles from Islamic teachings while encouraging innovative thinking through collaborations with Dubai Future Labs.

The museum also hosted its first ‘Gaming Matters Academy’ event last April featuring esports enthusiasts alongside gaming industry leaders like Walt Disney or Epic Games discussing developments within electronic games sector globally.

The annual ‘Dubai Future Forum’ organised by Dubai Future Foundation gathers futurists worldwide at this venue each year since its launch two years ago; it will host its third edition from 19-20 November 2024 inviting experts across vital sectors globally once again.
