Sharjah Municipal Council And City Municipality Launch Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative For Young Employees
The Sustainable Future Youth Programme was recently introduced at Al Qasimia University Theatre. This initiative, a collaboration between the Municipal Council, Sharjah City Municipality, and the Family Development Department, aims to support young municipal employees preparing for marriage. It seeks to empower them to build stable families that contribute to societal growth.
The programme is designed to provide both material and moral support. Participants will receive psychological counselling and training courses to prepare them for married life and future responsibilities. This reflects the UAE's commitment to strengthening families as a core societal pillar.

Salem Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah City Municipal Council, stated that the programme aligns with His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi's vision. He advocates for strong families supported by solid foundations, ensuring emotional stability and community contribution.
Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director-General of Sharjah City Municipality, highlighted the programme's alignment with societal values. He noted its importance in promoting marriage as an institution and serving as a bridge between government entities and youth.
Aisha Al Motawa Al Suwaidi, head of the Sustainable Future Youth Programme, provided an overview of its structure. She detailed objectives, timelines, and mechanisms for financial and moral support. The programme collaborates with strategic partners like the Family Development Department and Economic Development Department.
The initiative will be rolled out in phases, extending to young employees from various government sectors. Modhi Al Shamsi from the Family Development Department emphasised its role in preparing youth for marriage and enhancing family stability.
Training Components
Moza Saif Al Shehhi Al Suwaidi described the programme as a model of institutional collaboration aimed at preserving Emirati families. The training component includes modules addressing psychological, social, and economic needs delivered by certified specialists.
The ceremony concluded with a lecture by Sheikh Dr. Aziz Farhan Al Anzi on marriage's role as a social institution. He stressed affection, understanding, and respect as keys to successful marriages while offering practical advice to participants.
