MoU Signing Between CDA And Maseer Initiatives Aims To Empower People Of Determination In Dubai

Dubai's Community Development Authority (CDA) has partnered with Maseer Initiatives to support People of Determination. The agreement, witnessed by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to enhance community coordination and expand partnerships. This initiative focuses on cultural and awareness programmes that promote inclusion and meaningful participation.

Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, CDA's Director-General, highlighted the partnership's role in expanding social outreach. She stated, "Dubai's vision, outlined in the Dubai Social Agenda 33, affirms that true cohesion is achieved by engaging all segments of society, especially People of Determination. This partnership helps foster a cultural and social environment where talents are nurtured and inclusive community participation is enabled."

CDA and Maseer Initiatives Sign MoU

The MoU was signed by Maitha Mohammed Al Shamsi from CDA and Budoor Saeed Al Raqbani from Maseer Initiatives. Representatives from various governmental and community entities attended the signing ceremony. The collaboration aims to develop innovative initiatives that position People of Determination as vital contributors to society.

Al Shamsi emphasised the importance of specialised community work for sustainable development. She said the collaboration with Maseer will create initiatives that highlight the contributions of People of Determination. These efforts align with Dubai’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.

Budoor Saeed Al Raqbani noted that the partnership will activate the role of People of Determination in cultural and social dialogue. She stated, "Together with the CDA, we are designing initiatives that celebrate identity and showcase diversity, such as the Talented PoD Showcase, Arab Deaf Week, and inclusive community retreats. Our goal is to deliver empowerment through action and real social engagement."

Cultural Programmes and Events

The MoU outlines several joint initiatives aimed at promoting inclusion. These include public awareness events like Arab Deaf Week and International Day of Sign Language. Programmes will also focus on showcasing artistic talents and capabilities of People of Determination.

The partnership involves hosting retreats and dialogue sessions with government bodies, private sector stakeholders, and nonprofit organisations. This collaborative effort aims to exchange expertise related to inclusion, community awareness, and best practices.

This agreement marks a significant step towards achieving Dubai Social Agenda 33 goals. It focuses on social justice, engaging vulnerable groups, and generating impact through awareness and empowerment at the community level.
