Moro Hub Awards Green Certificate To Dubai Government's Central Grievance Committee For Sustainability Efforts

Moro Hub, part of Digital DEWA under Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has awarded the Green Certificate to the Central Grievance Committee of the Dubai Government. This recognition was presented by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, to Khalfan Harib, Chairman of the Central Grievance Committee during WETEX 2024. The event is a major sustainability and clean energy technology exhibition held from 1st to 3rd October at Dubai World Trade Center.

The Green Certificate acknowledges the Committee's commitment to sustainability through Moro Green Cloud services. This initiative aligns with the UAE’s long-term sustainability objectives by promoting responsible digital transformation. The partnership supports the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative and other strategies aiming for complete clean energy production by 2050.

Moro Hub Recognises Dubai's Grievance Committee

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer emphasised that Digital DEWA and Moro Hub operate under His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision. Their goal is to position the UAE as a global digital capital. "This Green Certificate initiative goes in line with the UAE's ambitious goals in digital transformation and sustainability," he stated.

The collaboration with the Central Grievance Committee focuses on enhancing operations using advanced technologies like AI, cloud computing, and IoT. These efforts aim to achieve environmental sustainability while boosting the green economy. Such initiatives contribute to making Dubai a model for sustainable and smart living worldwide.

Khalfan Harib expressed pride in receiving the Green Certificate from Moro Hub. "By utilising Moro’s Green Cloud, we have been able to significantly reduce our environmental impact while maintaining operational efficiency," he said. This recognition encourages continued adoption of innovative solutions aligned with UAE’s environmental aspirations.

The Central Grievance Committee has implemented Moro Green Cloud, an eco-friendly cloud computing platform designed to lower carbon emissions during operations. Marwan bin Haidar, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Digital DEWA, highlighted this achievement as a proactive approach to sustainability.

Benefits of Moro Green Cloud

Moro Green Cloud offers several environmental benefits such as reduced energy consumption, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced data security. It provides a scalable infrastructure that helps organisations transition towards sustainable practices by minimising physical server usage and optimising IT resources.

This award underscores the importance of adopting digital solutions that support sustainability goals. Moro Hub’s initiative aids organisations in reducing their carbon footprints while maintaining high technological efficiency and innovation levels.

Marwan bin Haidar noted that this accomplishment sets a benchmark for other government entities to follow in responsible digital transformation. At Digital DEWA, they are committed to advancing Dubai’s vision as a global hub for sustainable digital innovation.
