MoIAT Unveils Digital Platforms To Boost Industrial Growth And Attract Foreign Direct Investment

Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, introduced the ministry's revamped interactive website at the 44th GITEX Global event. This digital platform offers advanced search tools in multiple languages and live customer support to enhance user experience and service accessibility. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber announced this launch while touring GITEX Global with a delegation at the ministry’s stand.

During his visit, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber explored various governmental and private entity stands, including Emirates Development Bank, Abu Dhabi Government, Dubai Government, Etisalat, Du, Nvidia, and Huawei. He was briefed on their digital solutions and initiatives in fields such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital empowerment.

MoIAT Launches New Digital Platforms for Industry

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) is showcasing its online services at GITEX Global to boost industrial and technological sector growth. These efforts align with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology (Operation 300bn). The ministry also hosts workshops on AI, cybersecurity, compliance, and strategies for success in a changing business landscape.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of MoIAT, stated that their participation aligns with the National Strategy's goals. The strategy emphasizes innovation, advanced technology adoption, and service digitalization to enhance local companies' competitiveness regionally and internationally.

Under MoIAT’s strategic direction for sustainable industrial growth, the focus is on improving customer experience by providing data for informed decision-making related to digital transformation. MoIAT aims to offer services that enhance investor journeys to create a business-friendly environment attracting foreign investments.

The new website will assist stakeholders in accessing services more flexibly and efficiently through advanced search tools. This aligns with MoIAT's strategic efforts to provide proactive and efficient services.

Strategic Objectives

MoIAT aims to position the UAE as a global hub for industry and future technologies. It collaborates with government partners, private sectors, and investors towards Operation 300bn objectives. Notably, the UAE ranks 27th globally in UNIDO's Competitive Industrial Performance Index (CIP).

A demonstration of the ministry’s project "Aloum Al Senaa" was also shown during the tour. This integrated industrial dashboard aims to empower decision-makers through data collection and analysis. It supports industrial sector growth by highlighting investment opportunities for informed decision-making.
