MoHESR Closes Training Centre For Unlicensed Operations And Serious Safety Violations

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has shut down a training centre in one of the emirates. This action was taken due to the centre's involvement in unlicensed educational activities. The centre's managers have been referred to the Public Prosecution, and fines have been imposed for these violations.

Inspections by MoHESR teams revealed significant breaches, including enrolling students without necessary approvals and promoting unaccredited programmes. Additionally, the centre operated an unlicensed nursery. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation also identified further violations concerning public safety and the employment of unlicensed workers.

MoHESR Closes Unlicensed Training Centre

In collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Ministry of Education, and the emirate’s Department of Economic Development, MoHESR has taken decisive actions against the centre and its administrators. The centre has been fined and will remain closed until it secures the required licences.

The administrators have been referred to the emirate’s Public Prosecution for operating without a licence and promoting unaccredited programmes. MoHESR is also collaborating with the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority to block the centre’s online accounts and websites used for programme promotion.

The Ministry emphasised its commitment to monitoring violators and enforcing penalties under national laws. This is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance oversight of higher education institutions and training centres across the UAE. The aim is to protect students, ensure quality academic and vocational programmes, and build public trust in the national education system.

MoHESR encourages parents and students to verify that educational institutions are licensed and their programmes accredited before enrolling. Verification can be done through their website or by contacting their Customer Happiness Centre at 800511.
