MoHAP Earns Distinguished Innovation Enabler Award For Healthcare Excellence

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in the UAE has been honoured with the "Distinguished Innovation Enabler" award and the "Certified Innovative Government Entity" certificate at the 2025 Global Distinguished Innovator Awards. These accolades highlight MoHAP's pivotal role in advancing healthcare innovation through various programmes and initiatives that have significantly improved healthcare services in the country.

Among the initiatives recognised is the "Future Health Innovation Lab," which exemplifies MoHAP's commitment to empowering health institutions with innovative tools. The Global Innovation Institute (GInI) presented these awards, acknowledging entities that excel in driving sustainable innovation. This recognition underscores MoHAP's dedication to fostering innovation and supporting healthcare professionals to enhance community health in the UAE.

MoHAP Wins Innovation Enabler Award

Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of MoHAP, stated, "This remarkable achievement reflects the UAE’s vision and commitment to innovation." He emphasised that this success aligns with the country's strategic goals outlined in the UAE Centennial 2071. The ministry prioritises adopting advanced technologies in line with the National Strategy for Advanced Innovation to position the UAE as a global leader in innovation.

The ministry plans to continue investing in healthcare's future through its National Future Forecasting Framework for Healthcare. This strategy combines skilled teams with advanced technologies like AI and big data, ensuring that the UAE remains at the forefront of global health trends. Dr. Al Olama expressed gratitude to ministry teams for fostering an innovative culture that leverages cutting-edge technology and infrastructure.

Saqr Al Hemeiri, Chief Innovation Officer at MoHAP, expressed pride in receiving this award, highlighting it as evidence of effective efforts to drive innovation in healthcare. He noted that strong collaboration between government entities and healthcare partners was crucial for this achievement. Al Hemeiri sees this recognition as motivation to continue delivering innovative solutions for community health and safety.

This award coincides with UAE's Innovation Month, further emphasising its significance. The ministry's initiatives set a high standard for healthcare innovation, demonstrating excellence through transformative projects that enhance service quality across the nation.
