Mohammed Bin Rashid Participates In National Identity Retreat To Enhance UAE's Cultural Framework

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, participated in the 'National Identity Retreat'. This event was part of the UAE Government's Annual Meetings 2024 in Abu Dhabi. The retreat was organised by the Ministry of Culture and the National Projects Office at the Presidential Court.

The gathering aimed to create effective strategies to advance national identity initiatives. It brought together ministers and key decision-makers. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed examined the retreat's agenda, which focused on accelerating progress in this strategic area.

Among those present were His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance; and Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed praised the Ministry of Culture and the National Projects Office for their proactive collaboration. He instructed them to create a nationwide framework for national identity. This framework aims to unify related initiatives under a comprehensive plan that embodies UAE’s values, history, and culture.

The meetings chaired by His Highness included over 500 officials from federal and local government bodies. Participants also came from private sector organisations and community institutions. The goal was to foster collaboration across various sectors to strengthen national identity efforts.

Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; and His Excellency Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, were also in attendance at the retreat. Their participation highlighted the importance placed on cultural initiatives within government priorities.

The retreat underscored a commitment to developing a unified approach towards enhancing national identity. By bringing together diverse stakeholders, it aimed to ensure that all efforts align with UAE’s cultural heritage and future aspirations.
