Dubai is recognised as a symbol of creativity and innovation. Its achievements are rooted in a strong work ethic and dedicated workforce. Ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure reinforce Dubai's status as an investment hub, vital trade link, and leading tourism destination.

The discussions aligned with objectives from the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, Social Agenda 33, and Urban Master Plan 2040. These plans aim to keep pace with global developments while promoting sustainable growth in diverse sectors.

Global Financial Partnerships

On the sidelines of the Majlis, Sheikh Mohammed met Sir Mark Tucker from HSBC Holdings. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships with global financial institutions like HSBC. HSBC has been operating in the UAE for over 76 years with significant integration into its financial sector. The bank employs 590 Emiratis and had a net profit of $1 billion in 2023 in the UAE alone.

Space Ambitions

An inspiring lecture by Emirati astronaut Mohammed Al Mulla titled ‘From the Desert to Space’ was part of the Majlis event. It highlighted UAE's space missions inspired by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s ambitions expressed in 1974 during a NASA delegation reception.

"With our arrival on Mars, the UAE has fulfilled a promise made half a century ago," Al Mulla said. This achievement underscores what determination can achieve for nations.

Sheikh Mohammed received 'Seventy Years with Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid: A Biography' as a gift from Sheikh Hilal bin Dhiyab bin Hilal Al Nahyan and his brothers. This book reflects on significant historical contributions by these leaders.
