The first project involves constructing a new building for the Dubai Police Academy in the Al Ruwayyah 1 area. Covering 155 hectares, it will accommodate 2,500 cadets and students across four zones. The residential zone will house up to 1,200 cadet officers with necessary facilities. The academic zone will include classrooms and lecture halls.

The sports zone will feature an indoor gym, Olympic-sized pool, football field with seating, and courts for various sports. A hotel with 26 rooms for sports teams is also planned. The main field can host up to 2,500 spectators alongside a police operations training complex.

Another key project is ‘Area 56’, a Unified Centre for Crime Prevention Systems and Data Analysis. With a budget of AED300 million, this facility aims to enhance crime prevention through advanced security systems and data analysis techniques. It focuses on predictive policing to improve traffic safety and counter-narcotics efforts.

The centre will leverage AI technology for event prediction and digital data analysis to strengthen security measures. This initiative is part of efforts to boost Dubai Police’s competitiveness and achieve strategic digital integration.

Housing Initiatives

The Dubai Police Housing initiative in Umm Al Daman is now in its second phase with completion expected by 2026. This project includes six buildings with green spaces and 246 residential apartments at a cost of AED300 million. Additional features include a commercial sports complex, retail outlets, playgrounds for children, cafes, restaurants, swimming pool, and sports fields.

A new building for the General Department of Organisation Protective Security and Emergency is also planned in the Al Ruwayyah area. Scheduled to be operational by 2026 with a budget of AED300 million, it will include training facilities and residential quarters among other amenities.

Smart Policing Solutions

The expansion of Bur Dubai Police Station is another significant project with a budget of AED90.9 million. It includes a Smart Police Station (SPS) along with sections for various police functions such as duty investigation and anti-narcotics enforcement.

A Floating SPS located offshore at The World Islands is also underway. Designed to serve yacht enthusiasts and water sports lovers without human intervention around the clock, this station represents an innovative approach to smart policing solutions.

Advanced Forensic Facilities

The Forensic Medicine Building integrates cutting-edge scientific specialisations like virtual anatomy and forensic dentistry. Operating 24/7 with facilities for medical data analysis and research, it includes an office managing services for the deceased along with visitor parking.

Sheikh Mohammed praised Dubai Police’s dedication to safety using advanced technology while urging continued innovation in their performance standards. Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri expressed gratitude for His Highness’s support alongside guidance from other leaders like H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
