Mohammed Bin Rashid Celebrates Achievements At Government Excellence Award Ceremony 2024
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, celebrated the winners of the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award 2024. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that excellence is a fundamental aspect of UAE's governance. He stated, "Excellence is not just a goal; it is a way of life in the UAE. It reflects the vision of the UAE President, to establish a government that not only meets ambitions but anticipates the future."
Sheikh Mohammed emphasised innovation as essential for government progress. He remarked, "Innovation in government is no longer a luxury; it is an imperative. Today, we honour those who have turned challenges into opportunities, crafting transformative solutions that set new benchmarks for government services."
The ceremony also recognised individuals with outstanding achievements through the Mohammed bin Rashid Sash. H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi received this honour for his leadership in aligning Ajman's government with federal priorities and fostering sustainable development.
Several federal entities were acknowledged for their contributions under various categories. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the Leading Federal Entity Award for ministries with over 500 employees. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economy was honoured in the category for ministries with fewer than 500 employees.
The Ministry of Interior was awarded for its innovative solutions and transformational thinking. It also received recognition for youth empowerment initiatives that support young people in their careers.
Honouring Individual Contributions
The "Pride of the Emirates" medal was presented to Emiratis making significant community contributions. Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai was honoured for his work in advanced technology research, while Dr. Rafia Obaid Ghubash was recognised for her pioneering efforts in community service and cultural documentation.
In addition to individual accolades, institutional awards were given to entities excelling in various domains such as customer service and legislative development. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received an award for its proactive customer service approach.
Acknowledging Leadership Excellence
The Prime Minister’s Medals celebrated exceptional leadership across different sectors. Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh from the Ministry of Economy received recognition as Best Undersecretary, while Ahmed Abdullah bin Lahej Al Falasi was honoured as Best Director General.
Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan presented medals highlighting talents driving government excellence. Major Saif Khamis Al Mazrouei from the Ministry of Interior was awarded for his specialist contributions.

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership in national projects like Etihad Rail underscores a commitment to sustainable development and economic integration within the Gulf region.
