Mohammed Bin Rashid Celebrates Graduation Of Over 300 Content Creators In Digital Communication

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, attended a significant graduation ceremony. This event celebrated 303 government communication officials and content creators who completed specialised programmes. These initiatives were organised by the UAE Government Media Office and the New Media Academy in collaboration with various partners.

The graduation coincided with the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, a major event for the content creator economy. Held from 11 to 13 January at Dubai’s Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future, it was themed ‘Content for Good’. The summit gathered over 15,000 content creators and influencers, more than 420 speakers, and 125 CEOs and global experts.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid praised the graduates for completing digital government communication and content creation programmes. He emphasised that digital media plays a crucial role in shaping future trends. His Highness stated: "In the UAE, we believe in the importance of investing in people and empowering local talent by equipping them with the tools of the future."

The UAE's commitment to digital transformation was highlighted by His Highness. He noted that the nation aims to enhance its position as a hub for digital growth through a strong system supporting development. "We aim to maximise the opportunities presented by the digital sector," he said.

The Executive Diploma in Government Digital Communication was one of several programmes offered. A partnership between Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government and New Media Academy delivered this programme, graduating its third cohort of 27 officials. This brought the total number of alumni to 86.

The Preaching Content Creators programme focused on promoting tolerant Islamic values through digital content. Developed by IACAD with support from Dubai’s Executive Council General Secretariat and New Media Academy, it graduated 35 participants after a five-week curriculum.

Educational Content Initiatives

Two programmes centred on educational content were also recognised during the ceremony. The Knowledge Makers programme involved collaboration between the Ministry of Education, UAE Government Media Office, and New Media Academy. It trained 154 teachers and students who produced 5,000 video clips for diverse audiences.

The Academic and Knowledge Content Creators programme was another key initiative. Developed through a partnership between United Arab Emirates University, UAE Government Media Office, and New Media Academy, it graduated 36 participants skilled in creating professional digital media content.

The event was attended by notable figures including H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai; H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Mohammad Al Gergawi; and Saeed Al Eter.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed pride in local talents who completed their training. He conveyed confidence in their ability to contribute positively to global communication efforts: "Impactful government communication is among the pillars of successful policies."
