Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Celebrates Professor Oussama Khatib's Achievement In Engineering And Technology
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, extended his congratulations to Professor Oussama Khatib. Professor Khatib was honoured with the Great Arab Minds Award in the Engineering and Technology category. His Highness shared this news on "X", highlighting the annual celebration of scientists, thinkers, and innovators through this award.
Professor Khatib's work has significantly advanced robotics engineering. As Director of Stanford University's Robotics Laboratory, he has published over 327 scientific papers. His innovations have enabled robots to explore ocean depths and offer new solutions for humanity. His achievements reflect decades of integrating technological excellence with robotic engineering.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Great Arab Minds Higher Committee, congratulated Professor Khatib via a virtual call. Al Gergawi emphasised that Arab innovators like Khatib inspire future generations. He noted their contributions to global civilisation's ongoing impact from the region.
