Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Congratulates Dia Al-Azzawi On Winning Great Arab Minds Award In Literature And Arts

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, recently extended his congratulations to artist Dia Al-Azzawi. Al-Azzawi was honoured with the Great Arab Minds Award in the Literature and Arts category. His Highness acknowledged Al-Azzawi's work, which draws from Mesopotamian heritage and is showcased in renowned museums globally.

Al-Azzawi's art addresses significant Arab humanitarian issues by blending calligraphy, poetry, and tradition into contemporary forms. The Great Arab Minds Award stands as the largest recognition of its kind in the Arab world. It honours pioneering contributions across six areas: Natural Sciences (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry), Economics, Medicine, Literature and Arts, Engineering and Technology, and Architecture and Design.

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi informed Al-Azzawi of his win during a video call. As Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Great Arab Minds Higher Committee, he praised Al-Azzawi's global contributions that have elevated contemporary Arab art internationally.

Al Gergawi highlighted that this award aligns with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's vision. It provides a platform for creative Arab minds while inspiring young Arabs to contribute positively to humanity's advancement.
