Mohamed Alabbar To Share Insights As Keynote Speaker At The 1 Billion Followers Summit In Dubai

The 1 Billion Followers Summit, a major event for the content creator economy, has announced Mohamed Alabbar as a keynote speaker. Alabbar, Founder and Managing Director of Emaar, will join other global leaders at the summit. The event is organised by the UAE Government Media Office and will take place from 11th to 13th January 2025 in Dubai.

Alabbar's participation highlights his extensive experience in investment and business development. He will share insights on transforming Emaar into a leading real estate company since its inception in 1997. His ventures span various sectors such as retail, hospitality, e-commerce, and technology.

Emaar has been named a strategic partner for the summit's third edition. This collaboration aims to empower content creators by offering insights into developments in hospitality, entertainment, retail, and real estate. The partnership seeks to enhance content creation through collaboration with influencers.

Alabbar expressed enthusiasm about partnering with the summit to showcase UAE as a prime destination for real estate and tourism investment. "Through our partnership with the 1 Billion Followers Summit, we aim to highlight the UAE as a leading destination for real estate and tourism investment," he stated.

The initiative also focuses on strengthening Emaar's brand and attracting international investors. It aims to establish new collaborations that will expand the creative economy and accelerate development plans both regionally and globally.

Alabbar is also known for founding Noon.com in 2017, which has become a leading digital marketplace in the region. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of Eagle Hills and Americana Group and is an investor in Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP).

Financial Performance

Emaar reported AED14.4 billion in revenue for the first half of this year. Net profits before tax reached AED7.8 billion, marking growth rates of 17% and 33%, respectively, compared to last year.

The summit's theme "Content for Good" aligns with efforts to produce engaging visual content that attracts tourists and investors. This collaboration aims to bridge economic sectors like retail, hospitality, entertainment, and real estate with digital transformations.

"Our partnership with the 1 Billion Followers Summit presents a unique opportunity to strengthen Emaar's presence in creative industries," Alabbar added. The event will be held at Emirates Towers, Dubai International Financial Centre, and Museum of the Future.
