Mohamed Al Harbi Re-elected As Vice President Of ECAHO, Strengthening UAE's Role In Arabian Horse Sector

Mohamed Al Harbi, an Emirati national, has been re-elected as Vice President of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO) for a second term. This decision was made during the organisation’s General Assembly meeting in Warsaw, Poland. Representatives from member states participated, highlighting the UAE's significant role in international forums.

Al Harbi secured his position with overwhelming support, receiving 43 out of 49 votes from the General Assembly members. This victory underscores the UAE's prominent status in the Arabian horse industry. The country is known for supporting beauty standards, preserving purebred lineages, and maintaining a strong presence on international platforms related to Arabian horses.

Al Harbi Re-elected as ECAHO Vice President

Expressing gratitude, Al Harbi thanked His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his unwavering support of Arabian horse heritage. He attributed this success to Sheikh Mansour’s vision and dedication to preserving cultural and sporting legacies. Al Harbi also acknowledged Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan for his involvement in EAHS programmes that have elevated its global standing.

Al Harbi expressed pride in the trust placed in him by the General Assembly members. He stated that his re-election signifies international recognition of the UAE’s efforts in advancing the Arabian horse sector. Under his leadership, championships have developed, and global best practices have been implemented.

Elected to ECAHO’s Executive Committee in September 2021, Al Harbi is regarded as a leading Gulf talent in this field. His leadership at EAHS has improved work systems and performance levels. Additionally, he has made significant contributions as a member of ECAHO’s Executive Committee.

ECAHO's Role and Responsibilities

Besides his role at ECAHO, Al Harbi serves as an advisor to the World Arabian Horse Organization’s Executive Committee. ECAHO is responsible for organising purebred Arabian horse championships. It sets regulatory frameworks and technical standards for beauty shows, accredits championship organisers, determines participating horse categories, and ensures safety with necessary veterinary care.

This achievement not only highlights Al Harbi's personal accomplishments but also reinforces the UAE's influential role in promoting and developing the Arabian horse industry on a global scale.
