MoFA And Ministry Of Justice Introduce International Judicial Cooperation Service To Enhance Government Services

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the Ministry of Justice have jointly launched the International Judicial Cooperation Service. This initiative is part of the second phase of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. It aims to revolutionise government service delivery by creating a comprehensive digital system that facilitates international judicial cooperation.

This new service connects MoFA, the Ministry of Justice, UAE diplomatic missions abroad, and foreign missions accredited to the UAE through a unified digital platform. The updated service is accessible via a centralised digital channel, linking all relevant parties efficiently. It simplifies cross-border judicial procedures by allowing secure and efficient exchanges of judicial requests and documents in three streamlined steps.

The automated system significantly reduces delays associated with traditional workflows. It unifies request processing both domestically and internationally. This achievement builds on previous recognition for MoFA and the Ministry of Justice during the first edition of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Awards. MoFA was awarded in the Innovative Solutions category for its Smart Mission project, which cut 80% of bureaucratic procedures.

The Ministry of Justice earned first place in the Best Government Team category for reducing procedural burdens across UAE government operations. Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Undersecretary of MoFA, stated that this collaboration reflects UAE leadership's vision and supports national strategies to enhance inter-agency integration and deliver services meeting users' expectations.

Alshamsi highlighted that the International Judicial Cooperation Service is part of broader initiatives by MoFA to improve coordination frameworks and simplify processes for foreign missions accredited to the UAE. By introducing a unified digital system, it enables swift exchanges of judicial requests and supporting documents, enhancing government performance.

This service contributes to improving overall quality of life for society members by ensuring efficient government operations. The initiative marks a significant step forward in transforming how government services are delivered, aligning with broader national goals for innovation and efficiency.

By automating procedures, this service not only accelerates cross-border judicial processes but also ensures secure document exchanges. This advancement underscores the commitment to modernising government functions while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
