MoFA Prepares For Winter Holiday Season With 'From The UAE, We Travel' Campaign

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has introduced the "From the UAE, We Travel" campaign. This initiative aligns with the upcoming winter holiday season and school break in the UAE, spanning from 8th December 2025 to 4th January 2026. The campaign aims to promote safe travel practices for UAE residents during this period.

Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Under-Secretary of MoFA, highlighted that this campaign reflects the leadership's commitment to prioritising citizens' welfare. He stated that MoFA is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and care for individuals both within and outside the UAE. "The launch of the 'From the UAE, We Travel' campaign reflects the directives of the wise leadership, which places all members of society at the forefront of national priorities," he said.

MoFA Launches Winter Travel Campaign

MoFA advises travellers to check real-time travel advisories on its website or app before their trips. Ensuring passports have a minimum validity of six months and obtaining necessary visas in advance are crucial steps. Additionally, travellers should review entry requirements and updates for each destination country.

The Ministry also emphasises securing international health insurance covering the entire trip duration. Compliance with local laws and traffic regulations in destination countries is essential. Travellers are encouraged to keep electronic copies of official documents while storing originals safely in their accommodation.

UAE nationals are urged to register themselves and their families in the Twajudi service via MoFA’s website, app, or WhatsApp channel. They should also save the emergency hotline number 0097180024, available 24/7 for assistance abroad. This ensures quick access to support when needed.

MoFA provides a UAE Traveler Services Card with a QR code at UAE airports. This card offers immediate access to services like issuing a Return Document within 30 minutes for lost or damaged passports or newborns. It also includes an interactive platform with updated travel tips for each country.

Golden Visa Holder Services

The Ministry offers consular services for UAE Golden Visa holders in collaboration with relevant authorities. These services include issuing a Return Document within 30 minutes if a passport is lost or damaged abroad. A dedicated hotline at 0097124931133 is available around-the-clock for inquiries and support.

In emergencies or crises, urgent assistance is provided, including evacuation operations if necessary. Procedures for repatriation and burial inside the UAE are facilitated if a Golden Visa holder passes away abroad, along with support services for their family members.

Travellers should monitor alerts from authorities in their destination countries, especially during crises or emergencies. Avoiding valuable personal items in crowded areas is advised to prevent theft or loss.

The Ministry's strategic plans ensure readiness through innovative digital services catering to diverse societal needs. These efforts aim to enhance direct support systems during peak travel times when traveller numbers rise significantly.
